A Truly Eclectic Sound!
'You just have to see them for yourself,' says one devoted fan. 'They are impossible to put into words!'
It seems no one can describe the eclectic and mind boggling tune of f.f.s., but all they know is they LIKE IT!
Lead vocalist JoJo Glidewell says, 'We don't want to stay the same, and we try very hard to avoid the typical pop or jingly sound.' The band persistently maintains their unique and ever-changing tune in all they do, and this keeps fans on their toes and always wanting more!
Therefore the solution is simple! 'Escape the Norm,' and go see f.f.s. for yourself, the band influenced by legendary musicians and rockstars, including the Beattles and Pink Floyd and modern musical talents Blur and Radiohead. Don't miss out on a truly exciting, energetic, and alternative chance to do something different, experience something different, and enjoy something different

A Passion for Travel!
Out of every destination in the whole world, Glidewell of f.f.s. would absolutely love to visit Italy. Of course, from thriving on 'Escape the Norm' ideals, he would prefer to avoid the 'touristy' and typical attractions and would rather visit Italy to see the amazing architecture, become fully immersed in the culture, and surround himself with the beautiful landscape. Glidewell says, 'I would have to go more than once, and visiting Italy is my ideal dream trip.'
Other destinations Glidewell wishes to see in his lifetime are all other European countries, Tibet, and Africa. When traveling to these destinations, and especially to Tibet and Africa, he would prefer to travel with a tour guide and with a group due to travel complications associated with these foreign lands. Glidewell will not allow language and transportation barriers to get in his way, and therefore he would prefer to experience these lands on a tour, and ultimately 'Escape the Norm!'

Humble Beginnings...
After high school graduation in the Spring of 1998, Glidewell moved to Athens and Gulley moved to Milledgeville. Gulley made weekend trips to Athens to enjoy the good life and write music with Glidewell.
Momentum began to build in 2000 when Gulley transferred to the University of Georgia and moved to Athens. By this time, Glidewell had become re-aquainted with David Gregory, a Gainesville bassist who played bassoon alongside Glidewell at a UGA music festival. Gregory had performed with f.f.s. on several occasions, employing his remarkable bass skills and haunting vocal harmonies, and was quickly becoming a fixture in the band.
Also joining the band was Lester Burton,an experienced drummer and long time friend of Glidewell from his hometown of Elberton, Ga.
Now a full band, f.f.s. began playing shows all over Athens, from DT's Down Under to the Georgia Theatre. With a variety of catchy melodies and beautiful harmonies and the occasional bagpipe solo, f.f.s. began to collect a following.
After a brief hiatus in early 2001, while recording a collection of songs, and while Glidewell lived briefly in Charleston, S.C., f.f.s. reconvened stronger than ever and began playing frequently in the fall of 2001.
With the recent marriage and fatherhood of Lester
Burton, Glidewell, Gregory, and Gulley have focused on the acoustic roots of their songwriting and have been performing primarily as a trio for the moment, but plan to bring a 'full band sound' back to their music as soon as possible.
